The Stringer Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 58-42 to Piney Woods. Stringer was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Piney Woods apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.
Piney Woods was led to victory by Jeovani Kazadi and Kingston Little. Kazadi scored 14 points, while Little scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Little scored 15 or more points. Murangira Lincoln was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Stringer has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Piney Woods, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.
Stringer will be playing in front of their home fans against Leake County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piney Woods, they will head out on the road to face off against Mount Olive at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
