Baseball Recap: Granville Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Granville walked away with it. They never let the St. Francis DeSales Stallions get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Aces, who have now won 12 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Wilson Wells was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Wells was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Theo Talbott was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Granville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season. As for St. Francis DeSales, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Granville will face off against Bishop Watterson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Aces 2.6, the Eagles 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. St. Francis DeSales does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
