Madison came out on top against Lanesville on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Cubs blew past the Eagles 10-1. The Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Madison, bringing their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lanesville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Madison will look to defend their home field on Monday against Switzerland County at 6:00 p.m. The Pacers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Cubs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lanesville, they will venture away from home to take on Corydon Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
