Edison has won three straight games at home, while Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Spartans will host the Storm at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Edison's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Dryden 16-0. Considering the Spartans have won nine contests by more than 11 runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kailey Ripley made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour posted their closest win since April 24, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Lansing 11-9. The victory continues a trend for the Storm in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won three in a row.
Like Edison, Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour also got a great game from a two-way player: Paige Ells. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits. Ells was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .529 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.
Edison's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 10-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Edison has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Edison came out on top in a nail-biter against Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Storm turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
