It was a good run, but the Winner Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkston. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Winner has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Winner still got an impressive performance from Aiden Barfuss, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Winner's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-1. As for Parkston, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
Winner will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chamberlain at 7:45 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Parkston will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hanson at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
