There's no place like home for The Whitewater Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road two weeks ago. They enjoyed a cozy 45-26 victory over North Clayton on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Whitewater also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Blake Battle was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 78 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Richardson, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Whitewater's victory bumped their record up to 4-4. As for North Clayton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Whitewater will head out on the road to face off against Riverdale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverdale comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for North Clayton, they will be playing at home against Starr's Mill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Starr's Mill presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Clayton in Georgia (Starr's Mill is ranked 95th, while North Clayton is ranked 313th).
