While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings  (they are ranked 765th, while the Crushers are ranked 164th).
 Sonoma Valley was without their leading scorer,  Griffin Brophy, in Wednesday's   game. With  Brophy sitting this one out,  Ethan McLeod got some extra time on the pitch (60 vs. his season average of 34.4).
 American Canyon's  victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6-1 and their overall record up to 4-10-3. As for Sonoma Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10-5.
