The Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers are taking a road trip to face off against the Lockport Porters at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Bradley-Bourbonnais' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Beecher as they made off with an 11-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Boilermakers in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won four in a row.

Mason Shaul made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last two games. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kason Bynum, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Byron Sumrall also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Bradley-Bourbonnais hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matches.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lockport and Bradley-Bourbonnais meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Porters blew past the Boilermakers 9-1. That looming 9-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Porters yet this season.
Lockport also got a great performance from Anthony Farina as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 5.2 innings pitched.
At the plate, Adam Kozak was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Logan Nagle was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Lockport's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.
Bradley-Bourbonnais might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Lockport in their previous matchup on Monday. Can the Boilermakers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
