The Clarkdale Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Lake Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Clarkdale, who comes in off a win.
Clarkdale had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They pulled ahead with a 56-55 photo finish over Scott Central. The win was just what Clarkdale needed coming off of a 72-47 defeat in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clarkdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cade Culpepper, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Ladonya Adams was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five steals.
Lake suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 70-49 walloping at the hands of Bay Springs. Lake has struggled against Bay Springs recently, as their match on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Clarkdale's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Lake, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
Clarkdale strolled past Lake in their previous meeting on January 2nd by a score of 62-47. Will Clarkdale repeat their success, or does Lake have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
