Tulpehocken and Schuylkill Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Trojans will take on the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Tulpehocken is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Tulpehocken made easy work of Columbia and carried off a 13-1 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.
Jared Baer was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Schuylkill Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to Oley Valley. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly three runs.
Bodie James spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.

Schuylkill Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tulpehocken has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. It's a different story for Schuylkill Valley, though, as they've only averaged .341. Will they be able to contain Tulpehocken's hitters?
Tulpehocken skirted past Schuylkill Valley 3-2 when the teams last played on April 8th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
