Bloomfield is 3-0 against Albuquerque Academy since September of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Bloomfield stacked a tenth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard two weeks ago. They breezed by Gallup on the road to the tune of 66-0. Given Bloomfield's advantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico football rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Gallup is ranked 80th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bloomfield can attribute much of their success to Blake Spencer, who threw for 149 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Bloomfield also got help from Andrew Bair who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Albuquerque Academy walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Grants 35-7 on the road. The win was some much needed relief for Albuquerque Academy as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Albuquerque Academy relied on the efforts of Gage Conway, who rushed for 14 yards and a touchdown, and Jett Galles, who gained 67 total yards and two touchdowns.
Bloomfield pushed their record up to 10-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Albuquerque Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

It's a different story for Albuquerque Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 239.2 per game.
