After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greenbrier Christian Academy, Isle of Wight Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Broadwater Academy Vikings 6-5. Jake Wells made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Broadwater Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chincoteague at 4:00 p.m. on March 26th.
