Palmer Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lewis-Palmer Rangers. The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Lewis-Palmer scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-19.
Makenzie Pears paced Palmer Ridge's offense, picking up ten kills. Pears got some help from Melanie Pierce and her 15 assists. Henley Kay controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Lewis-Palmer had a senior duo take command as Olivia Ivall had six digs and two aces and Cady Knight had 18 digs. Knight is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.
Palmer Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Lewis-Palmer, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
