Indiana Christian Academy strolled past Tabernacle Christian with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 67-52. Given Indiana Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Tabernacle Christian is ranked 344th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sawyer Tipton was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 3 assists. He set a new season high mark in rebounds with seven. Seth Plew was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Indiana Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Tabernacle Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indiana Christian Academy will take on Suburban Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Suburban Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. Tabernacle Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Community Christian at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th.
