The Riverbend Bears will take on the Freedom Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverbend is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.
Riverbend fell victim to Mountain View and their airtight pitching crew two weeks ago. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. The Bears have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Jameson Snell was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple.
Snell wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Makenzie Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Freedom walked away with it. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Ram on Monday. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Ram on their field since May 2, 2017.
Like Riverbend, Freedom also got a great game from a two-way player: Riley Picinich. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off 11 hits. Picinich was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Ashleigh Bronowicz was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Emory Picinich, who went 1-for-3 with three runs.
Freedom kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Freedom's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Riverbend, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.
Freedom's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Riverbend has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Freedom, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Riverbend's sizable advantage in that area, the Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
