Softball Recap: Conant Wins Going Away Against Rolling Meadows

Conant won the last time they faced Rolling Meadows and things went their way on Monday too. The Cougars put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 13-3 victory. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly ten runs.

Sophia Gomez was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cailyn Kehoe, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Conant always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rolling Meadows only posted an OBP of .304.

Conant's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2. As for Rolling Meadows, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conant will welcome Buffalo Grove at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rolling Meadows, they will host Harvest Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
