The Living Stones Christian Lions will head out on the road to take on Memorial Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Living Stones Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Monday, Living Stones Christian suffered a rough 57-35 defeat at the hands of the Eagles.
Meanwhile, even though Second Baptist University-Model scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, Memorial Lutheran still came out on top. Memorial Lutheran snuck past the Eagles with a 61-56 win. The win was just what Memorial Lutheran needed coming off of a 66-45 loss in their prior game.
David Porter was his usual excellent self, scoring 35 points. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for 11 straight games. Benjamin Smith was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Living Stones Christian dropped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Memorial Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Living Stones Christian couldn't quite finish off the when the teams last played back in January and fell 60-57. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Porter, who scored 36 points. Now that Living Stones Christian knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
