Gray Collegiate Academy took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the War Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Riley Huggins made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Palisades at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
