The Sandusky Blue Streaks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They strolled past Lorain with points to spare, taking the game 84-67. The victory was just what Sandusky needed coming off of a 67-26 loss in their prior contest.
Sandusky's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mae Rameau, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 steals. Rameau also posted eight assists for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ra'kiya Collier, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Lorain lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kayla Mosley, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Jelynn Carrington was another key contributor, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Sandusky's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Lorain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Sandusky will head out on the road to challenge the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Perkins will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Lorain, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Garfield Heights has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-2 during that stretch of close contests.
