Softball Recap: Meadowdale Wins Going Away Against Mountlake Terrace

Meadowdale barely beat Mountlake Terrace the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mavericks blew past the Hawks 15-5 on Monday. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

Olivia Feistel spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Madison Mitchell and Samantha Martens did most of the damage at the plate: Mitchell went 3-for-5 with two triples, five RBI, and two runs, while Martens went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Mitchell has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Arianna Lyon, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs.

Meadowdale moved to 6-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Mountlake Terrace, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Meadowdale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-0 win against Lynnwood on the 30th. As for Mountlake Terrace, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-1 defeat against Shorewood on the 30th.
