After a string of six wins, Virgin Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of The Meadows School Mustangs by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
Virgin Valley actually scored more points across those five sets (98-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-15, 26-21, 14-25, 15-12.
Their offense was headlined by Julia Leavitt and Kinley Hughes, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from Mayzie Tobler and her 34 assists. Mady Wright controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Virgin Valley's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-6. As for The Meadows School, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
