Karns came tearing into Monday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks. The result was nothing new for the Beavers, who have now won 17 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Karns' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-10. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Hardin Valley Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's still a better percentage than their 7-23 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Karns will venture away from home to face off against Tennessee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hardin Valley Academy, they will square off against Maryville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
