Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winona). Everything went their way against the Water Valley Blue Devils on Friday as the Winona Tigers made off with a 17-2 win. Considering the Tigers have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Winona and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs over those games. As for Water Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Water Valley, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Hickory Flat at 6:30 p.m.
