Los Amigos hasn't had much luck against Oxford Academy recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Los Amigos Lobos will face off against the Oxford Academy Patriots at 4:45 p.m. The last three games Los Amigos has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Orange wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Los Amigos, they should've done a better job of containing Adam Tran. Los Amigos had just enough and edged out Orange 3-2 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Tran, who had 25 digs. Those 25 digs gave him a new career-high.
Los Amigos wouldn't go down easily and took Orange into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-24, 20-25, 21-25, 15-11.
Meanwhile, Oxford Academy hadn't done well against La Quinta recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Oxford Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against La Quinta, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Oxford Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-17, 15-12.
Los Amigos better focus on containing Andy Ha and Dawson Nguyen as the pair were huge in Oxford Academy's win. Ha had 14 digs and two assists, while Nguyen had eight kills, seven digs, and three blocks. Ayden Nguyen also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.
Oxford Academy pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Los Amigos, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.
Los Amigos might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Oxford Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Los Amigos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
