They put the hurt on Legacy with a sharp 52-30 victory on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Ralston Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Ralston Valley to victory were Sophia Sabus and Santana Sabus. Sabus scored 18 points, while Sabus scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The match was Sabus' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kailey Townsend, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Legacy still got an impressive performance from Olivia Mortensen, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. Mortensen scored a full 86.7% of Legacy's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ralston Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Legacy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
