In what's become a running theme this season, Spring Grove gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Kingsland with a sharp 60-40 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Spring Grove has posted against Kingsland since March 12, 2021.
Meanwhile, Lanesboro pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were dealt a 85-58 loss at the hands of Rushford-Peterson. While losing is never fun, Lanesboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Rushford-Peterson is ranked 123rd).
Spring Grove's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Lanesboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.
Everything came up roses for Spring Grove against Lanesboro in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 64-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spring Grove since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
