Elite Scholars Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from D?allo Wiley, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Charles-jones, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, Landmark Christian entered their tilt with Mt. Zion with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Landmark Christian took their match at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 76-39 win over Mt. Zion. Considering Landmark Christian has won three contests by more than 36 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Landmark Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Riley Saunders, who scored 24 points along with 6 steals. The contest was Saunders' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Blake Pollock was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 4 steals.
Elite Scholars Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Landmark Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Tuesday's game is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Elite Scholars Academy have been dynamite from deep this season, having only made 34.2% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Landmark Christian struggles in that department as they've made 41.6% of theirs this season.
