For Westinghouse's part, Emily Coleman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Coleman has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs.
In other batting news, Westinghouse got a massive performance out of Jocelyn Lewis, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Lewis is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Randi Thomas was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
