The Agua Fria Owls will head out on the road to square off against the Estrella Foothills Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Agua Fria is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
On Thursday, Agua Fria made easy work of Cactus and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Agua Fria was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-20.
Agua Fria can attribute much of their success to Charles Tacker, who had 13 digs and two assists.
Meanwhile, Estrella Foothills didn't have quite enough to beat Peoria on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
While Estrella Foothills ultimately came up short, they really made Peoria work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-20, 22-25, 22-25, 15-4.
Agua Fria will have to contain Cruz Alvarado as he made an impact in Estrella Foothills' last game. He had 22 digs and four aces.
Estrella Foothills' defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Agua Fria, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

However, it's not like Estrella Foothills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Agua Fria took their victory against Estrella Foothills in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Owls since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
