The Carbon Dinos entered their tilt with the Canyon View Falcons with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Carbon walked away with a 66-53 win over Canyon View on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Carbon also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Carbon was led to victory by Madison Orth and Amiah Timothy. Orth scored 18 points along with seven steals and six rebounds, while Timothy scored 25 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Orth has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Bailey Curtis was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Carbon pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Canyon View, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carbon will square off against North Sanpete at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canyon View, they will head out on the road to face off against Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Richfield is ranked 22nd, while Canyon View is ranked 47th).
