Lake Zurich is 0-4 against Carmel since April of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Bears will be playing at home against the Corsairs at 4:45 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Lake Zurich's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over Lake Forest. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.
Tessa Campobasso was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Campobasso was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Lake Zurich got a massive performance out of Claire Kohlman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Buckingham, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
