Ava Solberg was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Paige Barry also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Boone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Lyman can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Windermere Prep 6-5.
Emma Chauncey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Makayla Darwent, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Proulx, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Lyman picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-8. As for Boone, their record now sits at 5-6.
Lyman's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Boone hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349.
