The Priest River Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell 39-31 to Kellogg. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Priest River of the 48-30 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kellogg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordyn Stutzke, who scored 16 points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Stutzke scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dani Schillereff, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Priest River dropped their record down to 7-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for Kellogg, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.
Priest River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kellogg also has no future games currently scheduled.
