The Southwest Wildcats have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 42-34 win over East Harrison [Ridgeway/Cainsville] on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Southwest also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southwest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grant Warren, who scored 19 points along with five steals. Warren has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Will Hughes, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Southwest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-10 record this season. As for East Harrison [Ridgeway/Cainsville], they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Southwest's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Pirates at 12:15 p.m. on February 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Missouri (Norborne is ranked 580th, while the Wildcats are ranked 556th). East Harrison [Ridgeway/Cainsville] does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
