It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Hamilton Lions can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Tigers on the road and fell 50-18. Hamilton's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Hamilton lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Trent Jones. Despite the final result, he rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
It was another big night for Marcus Flowers jr, who rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries for Charleston. Charleston also got a significant boost from Quentin Carter, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.
Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Charleston, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Charleston will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Union at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Union knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Charleston likes a good challenge.
