Horizon Honors breezed by Sequoia Pathway Academy on the road to the tune of 71-17. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Horizon Honors has managed all season.
Horizon Honors' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alex Rivers led the charge by scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Calvin Mccrory was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Horizon Honors' victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Sequoia Pathway Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon Honors will challenge Chandler Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sequoia Pathway Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Augustine Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
