The Upper St. Clair Panthers will challenge the Peters Township Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Upper St. Clair will be strutting in after a win while Peters Township will be coming in after a defeat.
Upper St. Clair not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22, 2024 (when they won 18-8). They blew past Mt. Lebanon 7-1.
Brooklyn Kemp made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Kemp was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

In other batting news, Sydney Fisher was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caroline Barnard, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Upper St. Clair was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Peters Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Fox Chapel, falling 18-7.
Lucy Wicker stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That stolen base was her first of the season. Nina Logero was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Peters Township's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Upper St. Clair, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8.
Peters Township's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Upper St. Clair hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. It's a different story for Peters Township, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Upper St. Clair's hitters?
Upper St. Clair skirted past Peters Township 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
