Anderson Weathers and Grant Kuntz certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Weathers scored nine points along with seven rebounds, while Kuntz scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Kuntz is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.
Idalia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kale Morris, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tarek Glanz, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Lone Star's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Idalia, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lone Star will take on Arickaree at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arickaree presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lone Star in Colorado (Arickaree is ranked 129th, while Lone Star is ranked 309th). Idalia won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Eads at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Eads focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
