The LaFayette Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Tallassee 69-47. The victory was just what LaFayette needed coming off of a 72-46 loss in their prior game.
LaFayette's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Deaundra Vines, who scored 14 points along with six assists and three steals. The contest was Vines' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Camron Thomas was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
LaFayette's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Tallassee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.
LaFayette will head out on the road to face off against Lanett at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Lanett will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 319th, while LaFayette is ranked 143rd). As for Tallassee, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Marbury at 7:00 p.m. Marbury comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
