Basketball Recap: Braham Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Braham put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Crosby-Ironton Rangers by a score of 77-67. Given the Bombers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Rangers are ranked 272nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Braham was led to victory by Tyler Eklund and Tanner Doble. Eklund went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists, while Doble dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Eklund has scored at least a third of Braham's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Soren Lilly, who posted 16 points.

Braham smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Crosby-Ironton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyle Spencer, who went 7 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 33 points. With that strong performance, Spencer is now averaging an impressive 16.8 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob English, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Braham's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Crosby-Ironton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Braham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-58 victory against McGregor on the 16th. As for Crosby-Ironton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 76-27 loss against Pequot Lakes on the 19th.
