The Jefferson Cougars put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 76-50 margin over North County. Jefferson might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matches by 26 points or more this season.
Jefferson had a senior duo take command as Kylan Johnson scored 18 points along with seven assists and Jaiden Gladney scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Gladney's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Jenkins, who scored 14 points.
Jefferson's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for North County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Jefferson and Lewis County will round out the year against one another at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Lewis County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. North County will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Sherwood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sherwood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 436 points over their last six contests.
