The Dawson Springs Panthers and the Apollo Eagles will face off at 10:30 a.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Dawson Springs earned a 42-34 win over Crittenden County. The win was just what Dawson Springs needed coming off of a 70-31 loss in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Rex Blue, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaybird Plunkette, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Apollo had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They snuck past McLean County with a 46-41 victory.
Dawson Springs' victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Apollo, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Dawson Springs didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Apollo in their previous matchup on December 5th, but they still walked away with a 65-61 win.
