Miller Grove has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Druid Hills Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Miller Grove is ranked 390th, while Druid Hills is ranked 373rd).
Last Tuesday, Miller Grove beat Stone Mountain 42-31. The victory was just what Miller Grove needed coming off of a 82-26 loss in their prior game.
Miller Grove's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaeslyn Benjamin, who scored 13 points along with six steals. Benjamin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Arieyona Christion, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 61 points the game before, Druid Hills were a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 69-22 loss at the hands of Southwest DeKalb. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Druid Hills in their matchups with Southwest DeKalb: they've now lost nine in a row.
Miller Grove's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Druid Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
