Horizon Honors won the last time they faced Heritage Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Horizon Honors Eagles blew past the Heritage Academy Heroes 66-46. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.
Horizon Honors got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Calvin McCrory out in front who posted 15 points and five assists. McCrory continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Max Gerelick was another key player, putting up 11 points and five assists.
McCrory wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Horizon Honors was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They racked up six more assists than Heritage Academy's also-impressive total of 11.
Despite the loss, Heritage Academy still got an impressive performance from Danye Sypho, who put up 17 points along with eight boards and six assists. That's the most assists Sypho has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kayedon Jones, who scored 13 points.
Horizon Honors' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points over those games. As for Heritage Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.
