On Friday, the First Assembly Christian Academy Eagles's game was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took down Redeemer Christian 54-38.
First Assembly Christian Academy was led to victory by Ta'Bryant Wooden and BJ Paige. Wooden dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Paige scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Paige scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Danny Pascuma, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Redeemer Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Patrick Miller-Edwards, who scored four points along with 14 rebounds and two steals. Miller-Edwards hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Wilke, who scored six points.
First Assembly Christian Academy pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Redeemer Christian, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Assembly Christian Academy will take on First Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. First Christian is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Redeemer Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cornerstone Academy at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. Cornerstone Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
