Carencro kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a hard 38-21 fall against the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights.
Lafayette Christian Academy was led to victory by Braylon Walker and Jalen Noel. Walker rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns, while Noel rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Walker has posted since back in October of 2023. Calvin "Tre" Parker also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
The victory got Lafayette Christian Academy back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carencro will take on Zachary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, they will face off against Westgate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
