Goddard won the last time they faced Southeast and things went their way on Saturday too. The Lions narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Golden Buffalo 2-1.

Goddard had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-18, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Talyn Thul, who had nine digs and two assists.

Goddard was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Goddard's victory bumped their record up to 14-20. As for Southeast, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-22.

As of now, neither Goddard nor the Golden Buffalo have any future games scheduled.
