The Bountiful RedHawks will face off against the Roy Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bountiful's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
If Bountiful beats Roy with 69 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Everything went Bountiful's way against Clearfield on Wednesday as Bountiful made off with a 69-44 victory. Given the RedHawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Falcons are ranked 104th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bountiful to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryson Heath, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points and five assists. Heath has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Charlie Smith was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points.
Meanwhile, Roy suffered their biggest loss since February 21, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 72-47 to Woods Cross.
Bountiful will have to keep a close watch on Colby Frokjer and Jesse Jones, a pair of players who had a big impact on Roy's prior game. Frokjer posted 18 points and five boards, while Jones went 8 for 13 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Stirland, who put up eight points.
Bountiful is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Roy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's contest: Bountiful has been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 40.4% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Roy, though, as they've only made 28.2% of their three-pointers this season. Given Bountiful's sizable advantage in that area, Roy will need to find a way to close that gap.
Bountiful was able to grind out a solid win over Roy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 74-62. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Roy's Corben Schuffenhauer, who went 11 of 16 on his way to 24 points along with five assists and three steals. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for Bountiful to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
