The Century Jaguars will be playing at home against the Glencoe Crimson Tide at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Century suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were dealt a 67-28 loss at the hands of Liberty. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Century has scored all season.
Even though they lost, Century smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Glencoe has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 48-23 walloping at the hands of Forest Grove on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Glencoe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Forest Grove is ranked ninth).
Century's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Glencoe, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
Century barely slipped by Glencoe in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 46-45. Does Century have another victory up their sleeve, or will Glencoe turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
