The Elgin Comets were the 58-51 winner over the Northmor Golden Knights when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The contest between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Elgin falling 69-51.
Grant Bentley had a dynamite game for Northmor, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Keirns, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds.
Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Northmor, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Elgin will head out on the road to face off against Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pleasant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday. Northmor won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Colonel Crawford at 7:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
